Christianity and the Post-Christian World
$50.00
Since the time Christianity became the official religion of the Roman Empire in the 4th century, the Christian worldview formed the basic assumptions of Western society and culture. Beliefs in God’s existence, objective morality, eternity of souls, sin and others, were simply the air you breathed. Today, we live in a Post-Christian world. Christian beliefs and values are no longer the dominant view, but at best – are only just one of many beliefs in a crowded marketplace of ideas, and at worst – are opposed with hostility. How did we get here? What has changed? What are the main features of a Post-Christian world? Where do we go from here? In light of this, how do we understand ourselves, vocations, evangelism, the role of Church as we live in the world and be not of it?
