The war on God’s word is not something novel or a product of modern times. It is a war that has persisted throughout human history as far back as the beginning humanity in the garden of Eden. It was there that the serpent uttered these deceptive and doubt-inducing words- “Did God really say?”. Since that time God’s words have not been strangers to criticism or abuse. In every generation of human existence there have been those who have denounced and decried Scripture as being untrustworthy and untrue. That same challenge to God’s Word exists today. In this class we examine what the nature of Divine Revelation is. We will learn about the authority, inspiration, inerrancy, sufficiency, and canonicity of God’s Word. In understanding the Doctrine of Scripture, may every student be equipped to face the challenge of opposition to God’s word today.

Dmitriy is a Christian, a husband, a father, a pastor, and a musician. After experiencing conversion, God made it very clear to Dmitriy that his life belonged to Jesus and that He will do with it as He so chooses. He happened to choose, by his gracious sovereign will, to take a weed-smoking, anger-driven, porn-addicted, hard-hearted, rebellious teenager at the ripe age of 17 and gave him a new heart and adopted him into His family, thereby changing the trajectory of his whole life. That trajectory took the form of him becoming a worship leader and eventually a pastor at the church he’s been serving at for the past 13 years. Dmitriy is passionate about people meeting Jesus and growing in their knowledge and understanding of the Scriptures. He currently pastors a new church plant in Federal Way that was planted out of the church he’s been a part of since becoming a Christian
